Protect Seniors with Machine-Learning Fall Detection

Benefit from multi-sensor evidence-based fall detection to unobtrusively improve senior safety!

Getting help fast is CRUCIAL when it comes to protecting seniors who are at risk for falling.

That is why all our Rythmos® wearables include machine-learning (ML) fall detection that sends automatic alerts to caregivers when it detects a fall to get seniors life-saving help where they need it.

Our machine-learning algorithms are enhanced with data sent from our Rythmos® wearables, technology integrations, sensors, and community data to improve fall detection accuracy and safety for fall-risk residents with various health factors.

How our ML Fall Detection Benefits Seniors & Caregivers

Automatic Fall Alerts

Alerts are automatically sent to staff when a fall is detected, no button push required. Real-time location is accurate within 1-3 meters.

Better Data Access for Staff

Fall alerts are sent to and tracked through our mobile command center to create faster staff response times and get seniors help when and where they need it.

Algorithm Improvements

Our fall detection technology is constantly improving with feedback from community data and updating our machine learning (ML) algorithm with no downtime to wearable users.

Added Sensor Protections

Battery-powered presence and thermal sensors can be added in a resident’s room as an extra layer of protection to help detect a person’s position and if they have fallen or not.

Customizable Wear Styles

Our fall algorithms differ in our watch vs. necklace wear styles depending on your preferences or medical needs (e.g. a neck wearable will be better suited for someone who has Parkinson’s).

Integrated with All Features

Rythmos® wearables are not exclusive to fall detection and include powerful integrations in a single device, such as access control, nurse call duress alerts, 2-way audio, Alexa, EMR integrations, and wander management.

Fall Detection FAQs

Yes! Whether you use our Community or Community + wearables or our newest Kallos model, machine-learning fall detection is built as a baseline of the Rythmos ® system along with other core features such as location awareness and nurse alerts all in a single device

Our fall detection capabilities in Rythmos® wearables are designed so that it automatically detects changes in movements when a free fall and impact occur and will send immediate alerts to caregivers through our mobile app for emergency response.

Through the input of community staff feedback and other data source integrations, our algorithms are continually improving so we can provide improved safety features and the best care possible to those in need. If you have any other questions, contact us to learn more!

There are two separate machine-learning algorithms we use for the watch vs. necklace wear style which factor in movement patterns and other differentiators. The algorithm for the necklace wear style is on average 20-30% more accurate when it comes to detecting falls, which is something to consider for seniors with advanced health conditions such as Parkinson’s.

In addition to the machine-learning capabilities our wearables have for detecting falls, we can also utilize unobtrusive presence and thermal sensors positioned in a residence or other key community areas to add an extra layer of protection to help detect falls. These sensors are easy to manage and customize to a person’s individual needs.
